Holly Riley

Holly Riley is a dedicated bilingual educator with over twenty years of experience, and she is thrilled to be joining the Micheltorena team. Ms. Riley creates a warm and welcoming classroom environment to ensure a positive learning experience for all students. Ms. Riley has extensive training and experience with teaching Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop and Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) math. She is passionate about bilingual education, inclusion, and teaching cultural understanding in diverse student communities.

Ms. Riley grew up in Northern New Mexico and came to California to study at the University of California at Santa Barbara. She lived in Spain for a year as she earned her bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Latin American & Iberian Studies and later received her teaching credential through the LAUSD District Intern Program. She recently earned her Master’s of Education in Early Childhood Education through Champlain College.

In her spare time, Ms. Riley loves to travel with her family, tend her garden, watch science fiction, and explore Los Angeles! Ms. Riley enjoys working with families, and she welcomes communication from parents through the class Bloomz app and email.
